3 Documents that Say I LOVE YOU

What would your world be like if tomorrow just driving to
work you found yourself in a car
accident that left you unable to speak.

Would your children or spouse know;
WHAT YOU WANTED
Would they be aware of how much you love them.

There are 3 documents (4 actually) that are your last opportunity to say what you wish, these documents are the last I love you; you say. And with out them Your family will feel a whole list of emotions.

I am so dedicated to these documents that MINE have been in place since I was 19

When I was 17 my grandfather passed away. But not without life support being removed. My family was devastated. As I stood in the hall of the hospital I listened as each of his children had a different plan. There was no one my grandfather put in charge. My mom made decisions and her brothers and sister fought her. Then that evening the fighting started over his possessions. As a young girl raised with good morals I stood dumbfounded as the close nit family was arguing over silver dollars and shot guns. Before the birth of my first child I took all that burden away from my children. For my children they have MOM'S instructions....no room for fighting in the halls of the hospital and no need to worry about my silver dollars they have already had a name tag put on them.

The first is your Living Will ie Advanced Directives

This document first lets your loved ones know what you want but it also takes away all the guilt associated with the last physical choices you make. My daughter has all my documents, but she has very few choices to make and other siblings can not second guess the choices that are made. I believe 3 Dr 3 Days. If that car wreck came or a stroke or heart attack, my daughter takes this LIVING WILL hands it to the Dr signs the instruction sheet and MY Last living will; will be executed just as I want the Dr to do. No guilt, argument, or guessing. (My General Doctor has a copy)

My living will includes ORGAN Donation instructions. My daughter with a different set of beliefs about Organ Donation has no choices or guilt in my decision.

Advanced Directives and Mental Health Advanced Directives
Are two separate documents. If you take any psychiatric medication have any Psychiatric conditions or have ever been Hospitalized for Psychiatric condition this is a separate yet IMPORTANT document. While "sane" or what a doctor would call stable, these directives are for Mental Health issues. I have Mental Health Advanced Directives because I am allergic to lithium, a common psychiatric drug. so if ever I am found in a Mental Health facility my wishes will be known.(My therapist and my General Doctor has copies)

I have in place a POA both living and after death (Power of Attorney)

She; my POA has copies of all my documents, her job in case is to take those documents to the attending physician. During life when I can not make decisions my daughter that I know will do as I ask; has my permission to get to bank accounts sign for treatments or a DNR.

My Will

This document has a list of this goes to this person and this goes to this person. It lists a Representative, that is my request to the court appoint to be in charge and get things done. It lists what bills, insurance, and assets I have. It is a blue print of what I want for my children and grand children. I did this document to save my children from that arguing mom and her siblings were doing.

Last Wishes

Of all the documents I have written this is the HARDEST. It is to be opened by whom ever is officiating at either my service or when the will is read. This is a LOVE LETTER, to family. It starts with a general note from me. Then each of my family members are listed by name, and a love letter to them. My children, grand children, brother,

For people that are general income these documents can seem out of reach. There is some legal stuff that goes along with these documents. I have purchased from an attorney templates for these and I type the personal information in. I can in no way offer legal advise but filling in the personal information is what I can do to help the lay person fill out these papers.
